Rick Rinear joined Droder & Miller in 1984, practicing civil litigation for plaintiffs and defendants.
Rick’s practice areas focus on a broad range of legal issues from personal injury, fire protection and property damage, complex business practices and insurance industry needs.
He serves individual clients and major corporations with three decades of experience, successfully negotiating and litigating their complex legal challenges. He has become a trusted business consultant as a result of those relationships.
He has served as corporate counsel for a number of businesses from one-person companies to multi-million-dollar corporations.
Rick was admitted to practice in Ohio in 1984 and in Kentucky in 1985. He is also admitted to practice in the United State District Courts for the Southern District of Ohio and the Eastern District of Kentucky. He also practices law before the United States 6th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Rick is a member of the Ohio Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association and the Northern Kentucky Bar Association. He has successfully argued cases before the Ohio and Kentucky Supreme Courts and all local Appellate Courts.
Rick is a strong supporter of the arts and historic theatre, acting as volunteer legal counsel and board member of Cincinnati Landmark Productions, Inc. (non-profit operator of Covedale Center for the Performing Arts and the Warsaw Federal Incline Theatre).
He also volunteers as legal counsel for Cincinnati Islet Initiative, Inc., which provides non-profit research funding and mentoring services resource for those with diabetes, and Tim Browne Memorial, Inc.
Rick is actively involved with the Cincinnati Legal Aid Society’s Volunteer Lawyers for the Poor program and is an over 25 year veteran volunteer legal advisor and mentor in the Ohio High School Mock Trial program, sponsored by the Ohio Center for Law Related Education.
